Summer of 2012 a "Summer to Remember"!
Don't forget to base your Summer on the scripture Luke 2:52
"And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man" to make it a more meaningful summer this year!
For Wisdom areas: Spend some time each week learning this Summer....maybe some flashcards to get ahead in a subject area that is a struggle for your little one. And READ. Make it your goal for your children to complete a novel or two this summer. Readers are leaders!
For Stature areas: Get physical! Ride bikes, walk trails, or swim as a family! Take on a nutritional goal as a family for the summer.
For areas of in favor with God:
Encourage spiritual growth. Ensure your kids have a devotional or bible study to work through each day. Maybe this is a good summer to start a family devotional study together!
For areas of in favor with Man:
Finally, SERVE. This is the best way to grow as a family and to grow in your relationship with God. Each week, set aside time to serve someone in your neighborhood, or a family member or in your church family. Service is our outward expression of love for our Father.
We left Wichita Falls and these fabulous ladies with great information ....ready to take on the Summer of 2012...and make it a SUMMER TO REMEMBER!
