A "Taste" of Sky Ranch Ute Trail - Tori Miller and Angie Tingle

If we can’t actually be at Sky Ranch Ute Trail Family Camp in Colorado right now enjoying the opportunity to be free from the usual daily responsibilities lets, bring just a “taste” of it into our homes.

Thank you Angie for getting the staff, counselors and each family member at camp hooked on your incredible “Ute Trail Granola”…it is the perfect start to anyone’s day, a healthy snack, or can satisfy a sweet tooth.

So, until we can all be back at the most life changing experience, where we build deep family bonds, and strengthen our spiritual walks…lets eat…

Angie’s Ute Trail Granola

6 cups of oats
4 cups of nuts (almonds, cashews, walnuts, and/or pecans)
2 cups raisins
2 cups dried cranberries
1 cup REAL (Grade B) maple syrup
1 teaspoon REAL vanilla

Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.

In a large bowl, combine the oats, and nuts.

In a separate bowl, combine maple syrup, and vanilla. Combine both mixtures and spread onto large Jelly roll pan.

Cook for 1 hour stirring every 20 minutes to achieve an even color.

Remove from oven and add raisins and cranberries. Cool then transfer into a airtight container.

Can last up to 6 weeks.
